New Swedes Figurines of mixed origins, found, brought, and given to me. Some were found on various travels of my own, some came to Sweden as someone else’s cherished belonging, as a reminder of the homecountry.

When in transience, how much do you bring from your old life, your old home, and how much do you merge into the New, the unknown? Shown in different variations, at Kalmar Art Museum 2006 and at Wuthering Heights in Malmö, Sweden. Also featured in Sinziana Ravini’s article about neo-exoticism in Swedish art magazine Paletten.
